Fort Slocum - David's Island - 2006 Google Earth

Here are a few pics that we saved from 2006 Google Earth views. This was before the buildings were evidently torn down in 2007. Many of the buildings look like there was a fire, but probably it was just natural neglect. Nature is reclaiming the island.

Now everything is gone except old cement chunks put on the shores to slow down erosion into Long Island Sound. Click to enlarge photo.
